A Review on Flame and Smoke Detection Techniques in Video?s

Surveillance systems are most significant for protection and monitoring of systems as every year a large number of wildfires in the world burn forested lands which causes ecological, economic and social impacts. Earlywarning and immediate responses are the preventing ideas to avoid losses affecting environment as well as human causalities. Fire detection technology is becoming important point of research with its advantages of speed and antijamming capability. This paper describes the fire detection technologies based on video images in recent years. Fire detection technology can be divided into two main areas: the characteristic detection of smoke and flame. The system performance can be improved with the use of optimal algorithms for detecting motion area and extracting features of fire.
