A Particle Swarm Optimization for Maximum Loadability

In this paper, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) has been used to find Maximum Loadability on different test power systems. Maximum Loadability Problem is seen as an optimization problem while the power factor of the load is assumed constant. Viability of the proposed method is established and correlated with the well-known method, Continuation Power Flow(CPF), which uses continuation parameterization technique, predictor, corrector steps to draw P-V curve and then to find Maximum Loadability of any system
