Concept of secret sharing is that a secret will be divided into a number of shares among a number of users. Only a specified minimum number of shares can be combined together to form the original secret. In today’s world use of such secret sharing concepts are widely used for securing data. Different applications use the secret sharing schemes in different ways depending on the needs of the application. This wide use of secret sharing has led to extensive research on this topic. Various secret sharing schemes have been developed. The intent of this paper is to explain the extended capabilities of secret sharing schemes and analyze the relation in application semantics and multifarious secret sharing schemes.
