Engineering education is in immediate need of reforms. Skill deficiency among engineering graduates is one of the main concerns of the industries today. Educational research studies showing serious deficiencies in traditional teaching methods have all provoked calls for changes in how engineering curricula are designed, delivered, and assessed. This paper proposes a novel educational framework, ‘Extreme Pedagogy’ to improve quality of engineering education. Extreme Pedagogy derives its philosophy from Extreme Programming, an agile software methodology. Extreme Pedagogy aims at continuous improvement of student learning, keeping students’ needs and satisfaction as its focus.
